Currently, we have an incomplete temporary structure on hired ground, with a faithful congregation. There is a need for chairs, a PA system and to complete the building.
Bukwa Centre (2 churches)

These churches have land already. There is also a tailoring project in operation with one sewing machine. The project needs expansion, and the church needs a PA system.

Moiben Church, Kenya
led by Mrs. Kemboi
This church is in Moiben, Eldoret on land donated by David and Jane. The village, Kaliet Sirikoit Moiben was a deserted place, full of poverty, drunkenness, laziness and immorality. In fact, parents from the neighbouring villages never wanted their children to marry any one from that village. Despite having plenty of good land, people live in poor homes and often go to bed on cow skins with little or no food.
In 2004 we held a two-day Crusade. The old men of the area, the youths, mothers and even drunkards got saved, and many are now leaders in the church. One woman lived a terrible lifestyle. She was a drunkard, a thief, immoral, quarrelsome and a fighter. Her husband had run away because of her behaviour. She was even sleeping around with young boys in the area.
The first day of the Crusade, she knelt down when she was drunk and repented. The whole village laughed because they never imaged that she would get saved. Amazingly, she has never backslidden, growing spiritually and surpassing all others in her dedication to serving the Lord. She is now one of the leaders in the church. Her husband came back after seeing the change in her, and he too has been saved.
The village is experiencing a transformation. The church has land and a temporary church building, which still needs the have the walls plastered and the floor cemented. We are trusting God for a public address system and musical instruments. We thank God for what He is doing. |
